Getting Started

Welcome to Single Cell Browser! Here's how to get started:

  1. Browse available datasets on the Home page
  2. Click on a dataset to view details and downloadable data
  3. Use the Gene Expression Viewer to visualize expression patterns
  4. Perform GO Enrichment analysis on gene sets of interest

Gene Expression Viewer

To use the Gene Expression Viewer:

  1. Select a dataset from the dropdown menu
  2. Enter a gene symbol (case-sensitive)
  3. Adjust plot options as needed
  4. Click "Plot" to generate the visualization

GO Enrichment Tool

For GO Enrichment analysis:

  1. Choose between custom gene list or file selection
  2. Enter genes or select a file with differentially expressed genes
  3. Set analysis parameters
  4. Submit the analysis and view results in the Results tab

Tips

  • Use the split plot option to compare expression across metadata fields
  • Try the coexpression plot to visualize two genes simultaneously
  • Click on help icons (?) for additional information on specific features
